This is an awesomely recommendable product. I've had my Ultrabook for three months now (my own Christmas gift from me to myself <3). I love the slim design and how nice it looks, it feels very cool although it gets warm on the upper left of the base by the exhaust (where the processor must be). Windows 7 is great!
>>Gaming:
The Intel HD 4000 graphics will hold you back from high-level gaming, but the dual core Intel Core i5 processor is nice and fast. Games I play include: MapleStory, Amnesia the dark descent, Portal 1 & 2, & Minecraft. There's occasional lag, some noticeable frame drops and the computer heats up a lot by the exhaust so I definitely recommend a usb fan which improves performance and makes these games more playable/enjoyable. More demanding 3D games like SOMA & Alien: Isolation will barely work at all and basically wont be playable so you should stick with games that meet the system requirements. Being able to play some lesser demanding games is very nice though considering the portability & the nice, light, slim design.
>>Hardware:
The touch pad is not that great but I always use a mouse anyways. There are 2 USB 3.0 ports and 1 HDMI are across the back, along with the charging port and the only exhaust vent. It is compatible with Bluetooth but you will need to buy an adapter to use it. The up,down,left,right keys are a bit small but don't feel bad at all and the dedicated "Pg Up" and "Pg Dn" buttons are great. The keyboard is different from older laptops but easy to get used to and feels nice. It also opens up about 160 degrees so it's nice to carry around.
>>Battery Life:
The product description says it can last 6.5 hours. In my experience however the battery only last maybe 4+ hours with low screen brightness and doing basic tasks. However, if you're watching videos and have a high brightness setting then the battery will last maybe 2+ hours.
>>Booting speed:
The booting speed thanks to the 20GB SSD is great most of the time, booting in under 2 seconds. To do this you need to adjust your laptop into "sleep mode," otherwise it will usually take longer (about 7+ seconds).
>>Other Reviews:
I haven't experienced any internet connectivity issues as mentioned in previous reviews. Sound quality is reasonably good, and the fan is only a little loud in a super quiet room & it can be distracting as some people say.

Exactly what I was looking for.I went to the neighborhood big box store last weekend to buy something else but they were out of stock and now I'm very glad I got this instead.This is much better than what I was looking for and no more expensive.It is very light and thin and it looks great.The quality seems to be very good.The display is crisp and bright.I had wanted to get something with a little higher resolution but the resolution of the Acer is very good and not a problem, and now I think that they higher resolution wouldn't have been worth the difference in cost.

The performance is great - it feels as responsive as the HP Elitebook 2540p that I use for work with a 2.13GHz Intel i7 processor, 4GB RAM, and a 160GB SSD. The Windows Experience Index actually gives the Acer a better score for the processor even though it has a 1.9GHz Intel i5 processor vs. the 2.13GHz Intel i7 processor in the HP notebook.

Like several other people have reported, I initially had difficulty getting it to connect to wifi even though I was showing a very strong signal (5 bars).Eventually I gave up and went to bed and when I got up in the morning it connected to the network immediately.I haven't had any problems with the wifi or anything else since then.Turning on the Bluetooth to use with a mouse was confusing since I'm used to HP notebooks but in the end it was very easy - just press Fn+F3 (airplane mode) and it will bring up a little box that allows you to turn Bluetooth and wifi on independently.

To top everything off, it comes with Windows 7 and not Windows 8.This is a great notebook.I'm extremely happy with it and I highly recommend it.

After a month I'm still in love with my new ultrabook.It's a secondary computer (I have a desktop with a massive display), so I wanted something smaller and lightweight.This fit the bill.I wanted a pretty color, like pink, but the Windows 7 selection is getting pretty limited, so this was a nice alternative to black.

Pros:
1.Slender, lightweight, and compact.Looks and feels sporty.
2. Keyboard has a nice feel.Easy to type, keys have nice spacing.I can't speak to the touchpad, since I use a mouse almost all the time.
3.Display is beautiful and responsive.Not touchscreen, hurray!I don't want to reach out and touch my computer, I have a tablet for that.
4. The memory is sufficient to run everything I need with no delays.
5.Comes loaded with a minimum of crapware.
Cons:
1.Only two USB ports.
2. I thought it would come out of sleeping faster, but it's not too bad.

On the whole, I'm very happy I bought this.And very happy I am not stuck with a Windows 8 nightmare.Highly recommended.
