Great downscale ThinkPad.Slimmer and lighter than a T440p, more like a T440 with a DVD burner insteadof the second, internal battery.Same great backlit keyboard option, same great external battery options, two RAM slots like the T440p.Most come without the Webcam, though.Some folks keep a piece of electrical tape over the camera anyway.My current system of choice is a T440p i7 with NVidia and HD+, 16GB RAM, never leaves the dock and dual monitors.Had a T440 i7 Touchscreen, found I never used the screen much.The L440 is a well-built, rugged yet lighter weight ThinkPad, easy to work on (have replaced screens and system boards, quite easy).
